Inspired by the need for lighter weight, faster firing time and cleaner cooking-introducing the barrel oven-the floor is insulated.

Load bearing straw bale. Earthen plaster inside and out, earthen floor. Built over a three month period in 2003. No cracks, no settling, no mold or mildew. Awesome!

2007. 2229 square foot, 9 rooms, 14 windows. This was built for the children of the Lamb institute in Tegucigalpa, to live 26km outside the city, and to resist flooding and hurricanes.
